FLIPSIDE 22:

girl with her clothes ripped off

The Vern looked good, bigger than Baces and a better atmosphere. Lots of Bouncers to assure we get to see the bands this time around. Mad Society opened and had the crowd rush forward, fresh and excited we danced away, some chose to be a little violent some snuck away to corners to dance with friends. Most people seemed to like the slower pace of the young band but most liked the explosive parts. Near the end some (un)lucky girl got her clothes ripped of by the more violent dancers, what fun, could be a new dance. Definitely a band to watch. Black Flag tore up the place, the dance was at it's peak--frantic to say the least and almost on que Chucks amp blew out giving the crowd a rest, then on to finish one amazing complete set. Sure it sounded a mess, it was. The Plugz with new bassist John (x-Flyboy) looking the part played an excellent set of old and new songs, with just enough slow ones to cool the crowd out, the people loved it and everyone danced around in drunken abandon. The beer was cheap and easy to score, thanks Joe.
