Is it punk, ska or rap? A thousand comparisons have been made, but there's only one Blaggers In The Area. This record packs a mighty punch. A colossal melting pot of styles; from Ice T to the Ruts to Conflict. Some tracks offer powerful outrage, whilst others utilise a dsitinctive brass sound, which has led journalists to compare them to the "Specials on PCP"! The streetwise politics on the 'rap' tracks would be enough to make Public Enemy Chuck D's hair stand on end. Blaggers ITA don't mince words , their support for the rioters during the LA class struggle is absolute, and this record is peppered with samples to that effect. Their gigs and live events have attracted much music press coverage, it's hardly surprising every major label east of LA is trying to sign them up. A massive following in Germany is clearly attributed to their brutal anti-fascist stance. To the Blaggers ITA, a successful fight against fascism isn't just achieved with words, but with fists.
