The Dementlieu Punk Archive

perusing the stacks

it takes a brave man to dare my filing system...

When I get a new scanner, I plan on scanning all of these in. Until then they're request only...

My flyer/poster list. All flyers are numbered (and sorted by number) according to my whims. Items beginning with 0 [zero] are 8.5x11 flyers, items beginning with h are signifigantly smaller than 8.5x11 (handbills and half-size flyers), items beginning with m are usually 8.5x11 flyers, but are filed differently from other flyers (usually in a specific band's file), items beginning with p are posters (anything larger than 8.5x11). All posters are originals unless stated otherwise, but the vast majority of my flyers are dupes. Not that it matters much, since most of them were xeroxes to begin with.

The reason for the segregated listing is because of how I file stuff--anything that's 8.5x11 lives in a filing cabinet, anything larger is either on my walls or in a poster tube. The small stuff (handbills, etc.) live wherever I feel like putting them.

The list is a comma delimited textfile...you can import it into a spreadsheet program to search it. If anyone wants to write a cgi script that can search by field(s) and spit out matches in nice html, email me. If you're looking for more of a challenge than just searching the flyer list, you can write a much more ambitious script to go through a (yet to be written) index of my whole collection (fanzines, records, press kits, and other goodies). In either case, get in touch--I'll give you the specs.
